EVALUATION OF BY-PRODUCTS INTENDED FOR COMPOSTNG AND RECOVERY RECYCLING

Evaluate your organic waste materials for:

  • Land Application (green manuring nutrient content)

  • AD- Anaerobic Digestion (biogas potential)

  • Composting (for land application)

  • Product Formulation – potting mixes, container media

Proper community source separated green wastes mean that a compost facility may start the process with a minimum amount of physical contamination.

Steps in Investigation of source materials

  • Compositional Reports of organic content, C:N, moisture.

  • Liquid-Tea Potential

  • Chemical herbicide content

  • Inerts (stones, glass, plastic) characterization

  • Microbiological Hygiene

Valuable (but obnoxious!) source materials for composting include raw liquid manure, fresh grass clippings, rotted seaweed and animal urine.
