Store Herbicide Residues in Compost, Part II
$5.00
Herbicide residues in composts caused a flurry of development in new plant bioassays to indicate possible damage, but led to over- and under-estimating potential damage, due to confounding effects of varying salinity and maturity of composts. This study develops and alternates plant bioassays and tests it with peas and clover which are very sensitive to auxinic herbicide residues. The findings show better resolution and absence of confusing results if compost quality is factored into the test process.
